Le laiton est le matériau de prédilection des jeux T.T.Trunks. Pour les pièces d'échecs, les pions du backgammon, les jetons du poker. Sa densité donne du poids au geste, son éclat porte la lumière.
La Manufacture maîtrise trois finitions du laiton : satinée, brossée, polie miroir. Le polissage miroir et le brossage sont exécutés sur nos propres bancs, selon nos recettes et l'expérience de l'atelier.
Trois traitements de surface viennent ensuite donner sa robe à la pièce. La galvanisation, qui dépose une couche métallique précieuse : or, or rose, palladium ou or blanc. La laque, pour les couleurs unies sans reflet. Le vernis, pour la protection nue de la matière.
Le laiton se prête mieux que tout autre métal aux traitements galvaniques. Sur demande, l'acier inoxydable, l'aluminium ou le titane peuvent prendre sa place.
Brass is the material of choice for T.T.Trunks games. For the chess pieces, the backgammon pawns, the poker chips. Its density gives weight to the gesture, its brightness carries the light.
The Manufacture masters three finishes of brass: satin, brushed, mirror-polished. Mirror polishing and brushing are carried out on our own polishing benches, according to our recipes and the experience of the workshop.
Three surface treatments then give the piece its colour. Electroplating, which deposits a precious metallic coating: gold, rose gold, palladium or white gold. Lacquer, for solid colours without metallic reflection. Varnish, for the bare protection of the material.
Brass lends itself better than any other metal to galvanic treatments. On request, stainless steel, aluminium or titanium can take its place.
